A lovely country pub. It was perfect for my needs. Breakfast was a little quirky as a few more instructions would have eased the use of the breakfast room, but I managed. For my next visit it will be easy.

Three Horseshoes, Bubbenhall, hotel in Daventry

Three Horseshoes, Bubbenhall has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bubbenhall.

This was an interesting place to stay. I'm not sure I would stay there again. The room was comfortable, but there were a number of things that could be improved upon. A little more attention to cleaning would be nice, cobwebs on the curtains, overall maintenance (painting, etc). The decor was eclectic and there was a lot of Knick knacks, to the point that we had to move things to use any space. There were 2 bath towels which were in a basket by the entry door and not in the bathroom. No hooks in the bathroom to hang them, however there was a towel heater. The shelf in the bathroom would have been nice to our personal products but it had a number of decorative items on it that I had to move. No hand towels were provided. The shower curtain fell off of the wall while my husband was using the shower. The bath mat provided didn't appear to have been laundered recently. There was food residue on the end table next to the bed. A little attention to some details would go a long way. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were very good.

Although our room was outside off the car parking area, probably the stables from an old coaching inn, it was reasonably well appointed given the price point we paid. The room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable and there were tea and coffee making facilities. The only minor quibble was that the waste water in the bathroom was obviously cleared by a pump/macerator system and the noise from this droned on for a few minutes after any of the bathroom fittings had been used. Good fried breakfast in the morning.

Stayed here for a wedding. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful when needing to order a taxi to our venue. Breakfast was good and had lots of variety, although on our second morning they had an issue with the gas and could not cook fresh eggs, just had an extra piece of bacon! They had a little bar which was reasonable. We found a little pub down the road so didn't have dinner.
