We were using the Plough as a base to sleep in over Xmas as my brother in the next village had run out of room at his house. Just the job for that. Room was comfy and access when the pub was closed was easy. The DIY breakfast was adequate for a hot drink and bit of toast before we left each morning but don't expect too much.
Real ale in the bar was top notch!

Clean, beautifully decorated, fabulous staff and very warm and welcoming. Thank you, wonderful service.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The food was excellent in the restaurant. The breakfast box was innovative, good and relaxing - no need to think about how long it may take to get served.. good selection of beers
Although our room was outside off the car parking area, probably the stables from an old coaching inn, it was reasonably well appointed given the price point we paid. The room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable and there were tea and coffee making facilities.
The only minor quibble was that the waste water in the bathroom was obviously cleared by a pump/macerator system and the noise from this droned on for a few minutes after any of the bathroom fittings had been used.
Good fried breakfast in the morning.
Views were amazing, lovely lady on reception was very helpful when I called before the stay. Lovely waitress, very attentive at dinner. Food was huge and delicious. Rooms were very accommodating.
Dinner in the bar was casual.
Breakfast self serve buffet with served hot food served.
Lovely quiet room.
Fantastic water pressure in the shower
Good value.
Knowing in advance it was an in-room Conti it suited me just fine and was more than enough!
Evening dinner was excellent - Pie & Chips
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely interior.
Stayed here for a wedding. Very clean and comfortable.
Staff were very helpful when needing to order a taxi to our venue.
Breakfast was good and had lots of variety, although on our second morning they had an issue with the gas and could not cook fresh eggs, just had an extra piece of bacon!
They had a little bar which was reasonable. We found a little pub down the road so didn't have dinner.
It was priced well. I thought I had a bargain, It was less than normal price Premier Inn, but it wasn't Premier Inn standard either. But clean with an ok bed.
