The use a GPS device was brilliant. Made the walk so much easier to follow. The old inn is lovely, really enjoyed having a drink here and dinner on both evenings. We also went to Machester for the day on the train as there is a station in the village.

The location is great as it’s within short driving distances from all that the Peak District has to offer. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole site was stylishly designed in keeping with the age and character of the property and made it a great place to relax after a day's hiking (which is all in excellent reach of the Inn) Dan and his amazing team were kind, thoughtful and helpful at every single moment of our stay. A real gem, we've already booked to return.

Lovely rooms, welcoming friendly hosts. Food was excellent in The Old Hall downstairs for dinner as was breakfast. We were only on a quick stop over but would have loved to have stayed. Good walking opportunities and lots of info available for local walks / GPS units available which would have been great.
