The food was so amazing we ate there the whole 3 days we were there. The attention to detail was second to none. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family and would love to go back.

I had no expectations. The greeting, the room, the breakfast, the friendliness of all staff from owner to cleaner, the evening meal on the following night, the ale, allowing my car to remain in the car park all day. Everything superb; deffo on my ‘should return’ list.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The use a GPS device was brilliant. Made the walk so much easier to follow.
The old inn is lovely, really enjoyed having a drink here and dinner on both evenings.
We also went to Machester for the day on the train as there is a station in the village.
Owners very welcoming and excellent communication . Room very comfortable and well presented . Dinners on both nights of stay were exceptional . Food was well presented and first rate . Very reasonable prices . Breakfast was pre-ordered and excellent quality again . Staff were friendly and helpful.
The Lamb Inn is just the perfect little rustic getaway. The service was excellent, so friendly and warm, the food at each meal time was just delicious and very reasonable priced. The location is great as it’s within short driving distances from all that the Peak District has to offer. The rooms were very comfortable with everything you need including tea, coffee, drinking water. Good quality bed linen and towels - it was just a perfect stay for us.
Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole site was stylishly designed in keeping with the age and character of the property and made it a great place to relax after a day's hiking (which is all in excellent reach of the Inn) Dan and his amazing team were kind, thoughtful and helpful at every single moment of our stay. A real gem, we've already booked to return.
A lovely Inn . Second visit ... Says it all . The room was big , there was a great shower /bathroom, everything we needed home from home. Friendly staff . Food exceptional , reasonably priced drinks .
Lovely rooms, welcoming friendly hosts. Food was excellent in The Old Hall downstairs for dinner as was breakfast. We were only on a quick stop over but would have loved to have stayed. Good walking opportunities and lots of info available for local walks / GPS units available which would have been great.
The room was lovely. Clean and modern but with a rustic vibe. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the meals at the Inn- especially the spiced red lentil soup! Delicious!
Gorgeous historic inn. Fabulous location for walks. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and plenty of choice. Our room was a good size and had lovely windows looking out to the beer garden.
