A quaint, cosy inn with very comfortable and beautifully furnished rooms. Extremely clean and very friendly staff. We had expected less after our less favourable experiences with other inns on our last trip and were very pleasantly surprised. You can choose from a variety of breakfast dishes and requests are catered for. An absolute recommendation
Located on the edge of the South Downs National Park, a 3-minute drive from the coast, The Royal Oak Inn has an award-winning restaurant, a bar and free Wi-Fi.

The breakfast was good and dinner and lunch were really lovely. The room was advertised on booking.com as having a coffee machine but there wasn't one. Tv didnt work for first day/night that we stayed and the staff did their best to try and sort but to no avail. Got a new tv on the second day. Some of the decor on the walls was rather tired/dirty. They provide bottled water but no glasses. There are only glasses in the bathroom for your toothbrushes. They advertise as being luxurious rooms but I would say that is stretching the description somewhat. Adequate is more realistic. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Located in Fishbourne, the Woolpack Inn provides the perfect base from which to explore the South Downs and Chichester Harbour, just a 10-minute walk from Fishbourne Rail Station.

Large, very clean, very comfortable and quiet bedroom. Very good food and most helpful staff.
Would certainly stay here again.
Situated in Petworth and with Goodwood Racecourse reachable within 12 km, The Cricketers Arms features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Absolutely perfect location for our weekend at Goodwood races. 5 mins drive to the course and 5 min walk from a lovely pub to have dinner at after racing. The rooms were very comfortable with everything we could need. Our host was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious and we will definitely be back next year!
the cottage was vey comfortable, with everything needed for basic cooking, good beds and cosy atmosphere.
A radio in the dinning room, nice. Some milk in the fridge and cookies, nice touch too. There was useful tourist information and maps and the hosts were very accommodating for check-in times. Enough towels, and extra blankets, some books on the shelves, overall we really enjoyed our stay. And it is walking distance from the train station, bus station (to the beach for instance) and the cathedral and city centre.
The inn was literally right in town so it was an easy walk to all the places. Nick the owner met us and helped us check in. The bar is terrific and the service was with a smile.
Breakfast was AMAZING!!! The best English breakfast we ate by far while we were in the UK.
Also the car park was a dream!!! Parking in Chichister is a pain in the neck. The car park for the inn is adjacent to the inn and it was free and plenty of room!!
Central location, car park, really lovely traditional English inn. Even with the city centre location, and a jazz night one night, it was still lovely and quiet and we slept great. We spent two nights, I was plenty to do in Chichester. The breakfast at the Chichester Inn were amazing and would recommend a visit to the park Tavern in the city centre.
This is a lovely family run place. Communication before arrival was excellent. We stayed with two kids just for one night and had dinner at the nearby (200 m) pub Anglesey Arms. The food there was very good and reasonably priced including a great selection of vegetarian options.
The breakfast at the Old Store Guest House was great and freshly cooked.
