Clean and well appointed. The check in was accomplished by the bartender at the connected Black Horse pub. He was very welcoming and helped us get to our rooms with our bags. The room and en-suite were clean and modern. Security was emphasized. Parking was behind the pub. The price was reasonable.

We recently stayed overnight at Park Head Hotel to celebrate our 15th Wedding anniversary. It was our first trip back since getting married there in 2009.
We were greeted and checked in by a lovely lady on the desk, who upgraded us for free.
Every staff member from check-in, to bar staff, to restaurant staff were exceptional.
Whether for business or pleasure, Park Head is highly recommended.
Finally, make sure to try their award winning breakfast. It really is out of this world.
They allowed our dogs to stay (for a fee of £25 per dog) and provided treats and toys for each! They even allowed the dogs in the restaurant at dinner. The food in the restaurant was good. Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Same with the whole hotel really.
Great location, clean, comfortable, and safe. The old church across the street is fantastic. Be sure to visit. We had all our meals at the Saxon Inn, which were very good. The patio is lovely too. We will be back! Comfy and fun stay.
The hotel had so much character, it was spacious with a lovely relaxing/ reading/ bar area. The decor was eye catching and innovative mixing modern and historical elements.
The staff went out of their way to help us when we had a flat tyre, with was so supportive.
Peace & quiet, comfortable & clean, very good staff liaison and comfortability, ..... . Breakfast / dinner / supper as well as own bar. Certainly a very good location for a runaway or a peaceful focus on work.
Not far from Durham, an adventurous yet peacefully fun place in itself.
The hotel is lovely, very pretty building. In town so very close to shops and other pubs if you fancy a walk. The dinner and breakfast was wonderful, great service at the hotel - all staff were very friendly & approachable.
Good Food overall, comfy bed (even for a hotel/inn) location. Nice atmosphere.
