Every member of staff I met was exceptional. In fact as someone who stays in hotels every other week I've never come across a better team.
We also dined there and was pleased to discover the food wasn't the usual stuff of the Brakes lorry but freshly cooked. The wine was very reasonably priced too.
Breakfast was just as good with great quality ingredients. The same Ukrainian lady from dinner was on breakfast duty and she was amazing.
Just book it !

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Breakfast was good, although the serving was quite small. My partner ordered the black pudding with her breakfast only to find out it was not available. See my comments below about what I didn't like, too.
Dinner wasn't the greatest experience, although the wine selection was good.
Really nice breakfast, friendly staff, comfy bed and nice bedroom. The dinner in the restaurant was also good even if the pasta wasn't our favorite. Overall a great place to stay !
We thought The Fox Inn was a hidden gem! We booked two rooms for two nights. Both of the rooms were spotless and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We had one evening meal at the Inn, all four of us had something different and we thought the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely recommend a visit.
The staff were very friendly, the dinner I had was fantastic value and delicious, you couldn't ask for better from a pub.
Breakfast was also delicious, served quickly with no fuss.
