Breakfast buffet was excellent, massive spread, lots of choice, quality ingredients. Our room was spotless and spacious with a big private terrace, and lots of space for clothes and belongings, it had a useful little fridge and a nice spa bath.

We've stayed in many hotels in Spain - from simple one stars to five-star Paradores - so have a broad experience of what's good and what's not.
Suffice to say we contemplated returning to Posada Spa San Marcos on our return journey from a tour of Spain.
Had we not visited Santillana del Mar on two previous occasions it would be a definite.
We opted for the Posada - rather than the attached hotel - from a fellow traveller's recommendation – and weren't disappointed.
The Posada enjoys an adjacent private car park - so easy to move luggage to and fro.
It's a five minute walk into the historic area of Santillana del Mar - even with my walking aid!
Buffet breakfast was excellent, with everything we required being available - plus the option of a cooked breakfast on request– at no additional charge.
The walk-in rain shower was a nice and welcome surprise.
Having stayed at the Parador Gil Blas (smack bang in the middle of the difficult to navigate old town) on a prior trip, being on the edge of the town, proved much more relaxing.

Clean and tidy, I just did a one night stay but the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the decoration in the lobby. The triple room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the surroundings. Outstanding breakfast and dinner.
My stay from the beginning to the very end was top tier. The hotel was spotless and attention to detail unmatched. The staff was the friendliest, accommodating and professional I’ve ever come across. The staff at this small hotel are lovely, very welcoming, very helpful and greeting you with a smile. Restaurant/bar was small and intimate. we had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent, and very well priced. Breakfast was very good also, good selection of pastries, bread, yoghurt, ham and scrambled eggs. Cheese also, but I do not like cheese, so left alone!
The owner was super attentive and helped us to plan out visit, recommended us great places for lunch and dinner and some options for hiking visiting near Santillana as well as what to visit in the town.
Beautiful building and lovely and spacious room. Room was quiet, beds were comfy and bathroom was spacious. Parking was good and nearby. The village is so beautiful and the Christmas decorations made it very special. Dinner was very good too, though the restaurant was a bit cold. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was very rustic, quirky and quaint. We had a double aspect room with a Juliet balcony. The views were lovely
