Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the center of the town. The owners/staff we super friendly, really doing all they could to make your stay comfortable. There were a small number of park spaces available next to the hotel, or a public car park with many spaces and pretty cheap just 1 minute walk over the bridge. The check in to the room was super fast and the room itself really spacious, traditionally decorated and inviting. There was an Italian/Pizza restaurant on site which was pretty good and the breakfast in the mornings was also nice. There are a number of bars and restaurants within 1/2 minutes walk. There is also a small lift in the hotel, which was really helpful especially having a baby stroller. Would stay again and recommend.

Some cleanings must be done properly on terrace ( smoking cigarettes rest everywhere on the terrace… was not cleaned at all…) and to scare the guest with flying umbrellas on the thunderstorm. All rest was perfect, specially the hospitality .

I like the property and the host and the location up hill ,beautiful. Feel home 🏡. It’s really traditional classics hotel and the owner so kind to us . She willing to open the restaurant just for us as we can’t go outside because of the weather to cold. It’s was last minute to order food and she really helped us. The day check out she did send us to train station 🚉. Thank you 🙏 so much to her kindness and hospitality. Definitely I will comeback again . Will recommend to others.

Nicely situated within 200 mtrs from train and bus station. Train to Cablecar at Ebenalp, train to cablecar Kronberg and bus to cablecar Hohenkasten nearby. Free card voor 3 cablecars and train and musea in Appenzell etc upon 3 day stay. Good breakfast. Great coffee. Very friendly staff. Nicely priced

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Surprisingly the dinner on 20.6. was excellent, congrats to the Chef and also the waitress was super friendly.
Completely different experience as at my last visit ca two months ago.
Later check-out was feasible.
On arrival the receptionist checked us in and said we didn't need to book for dinner. When we came back later, dinner was fully booked BUT lovely staff set us up in breakfast room for wonderful dinner!

we were able to store our bikes in a secure place. lovely helpful staff and an excellent dinner and breakfast too. just what we needed and wanted after long bike trip.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Wunderbar. The staff was very friendly, the room spacious and calm and breakfast and dinner very tasty.
