The auberge itself has character and the furniture throughout reflects the period charm. It was nicely decorated for the Christmas season.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The hosts were friendly and helpful and freely gave advice on places to see, hike, bike and where to eat dinners. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and different each morning. We spent three nights and enjoyed them from beginning to end. The room size was comfortable, modern facilities and high speed wi-fi was great. The location was walking distance to many activities.
An added plus was getting to know Monty, their pet pig, and Manny, their doodle dog.
Breakfast was great. Josée made it herself. Josée and David made us feel at home. They have a beautiful rustic house that they take care of very well. We also had the chance to interact with other guests in the house and make friends. We had some great and stimulating conversations.
Very comfortable and large rear sunroom overlooking garden. Huge old maples.
Innkeepers very helpful with recommendations on wineries etc.
