We loved the atmosphere and lovely staff! The food & drinks were a highlight with an incredible view of the beach. We really appreciated the staff helping us out when we missed our boat transfer to Angra, straight away Valentino sorted us a private boat for our departure. The team very genuinely lovely people who wanted to help. Lots of good recommendations for walks, boat tours, diving etc. The beach is idyllic! Isabel was also lovely, thank you and your team for everything!

Selection was not huge but quality of the breakfast was good. Especially the self-made cake was amazing. Nice views, beautiful common area and super friendly host! We borrowed snorkeling gear one day to go to the green lagoon which was amazing. We were very happy with everything!

The outside/pontoon area is wonderful to relax on, with plenty of seated and shaded options. We liked being able to swim off the pontoon, and also went out in the kayak one afternoon.
It’s a short and easy walk to the two nearby beaches, as well as to restaurants and the mini markets.
The lunches and dinners at the Pousada are very good, although breakfast could be improved.
Our bedroom was comfortable (including the bed) and we enjoyed having the hammock on the balcony.
It was convenient being able to be picked up and dropped off from the Pousada’s pontoon.
The staff were very friendly and made an effort with us even though there was a language barrier.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Caio and his Mother were very welcoming and kind. He waited at the pond to escort me to my room and helped with every piece of advice and service. The day-trips to the several destinations of the island are amazing, and there’s plenty of options for you depending also on the weather. I also enjoyed the food cooked by Caio’s mother, the delicious breakfast with tasty tapiocas and the dinners, especially the octopus with spinach is a must have!
Karien and team looked after us exceedingly well, we couldn't have asked for anything more, nothing was too much trouble. breakfast and dinner onsite was very handy nd the food was great! We had an amazing room with the best tropical view across the bay.

When booking, we did not yet know how to get to the hotel. But they contacted us, told us everything in detail, and accompanied us until our arrival. The hosts are a real treasure. Polite, attentive, friendly. Help in any matter.

A beautiful, unique hotel accessible only by an efficient boat service from Angra dos Reis. Host family are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner both excellent. Many great choices at breakfast. Location is peaceful, views are beautiful. The little village of Praia Vermelha (accesible by footpath) is charming and has a few excellent restaurant/cafes. There are other lovely beaches accessible by foot or by "taxi-boat". No traffic noise -- only the sound of waves and the songs of birds.
This is amazing place to stay. Karien and Rainn are fantastic hosts. We wish we could have stayed longer. Amazing room, great food and exceptional hosts on a beautiful island.
We had the most incredible time at Vila Pedra Mar. The location is absolutely beautiful, Karien and Riann were so kind and looked after us so well - including making all the arrangements and ensuring that travel to the island was easy. Dinner was amazing every night and the breakfasts kept us full all day! This has set the standard and ruined us for all future hotels but we could not recommend the Vila highly enough! Hopefully we can come back one day
Difficult to know what to start with, the place having so much to offer. First, it is incredibly comfortable considering the remote location it is built in. You will love the quietness and the disconnection offered, literally, since the wifi is only available at the main bit. If you are lucky, you will admire monkeys or porcupines having dinner.
Breakfast is also amazing and various in an idyllic environment.
We were very warmly welcomed from the beginning!

Karien and Darinn, the hosts are extremely kind and friendly. The villa has a magnificent view and you can swim just in front of the property or go for a trail in the jungle. Darinn cooks like a chef and will make you exquisite 3-course dinners. A must go to in Ilha Grande !!
