Stop looking and just book The Saltbush Inn. Great staff, comfy bed, perfect shower, clean and tidy. In the main street with plenty of off-street parking right outside your room. Walk up to the pub for a great feed. We spent a month in Europe and this place had a better bed and shower.

The breakfast was great, it was super cool to sit around with some of the other people staying in the accommodation, especially those we had seen at dinner the night before at the Jolly Jumbuck Bistro.

The 2 bedroom apartment was terrific, spacious and clean. Good heating in all rooms. We had dinner at the pub which was a tasty pub meal. No brekkie, but a great cafe abut 150 metres up the road.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment upstairs with our kids, was bigger and nicer than expected (no photos of this room when booking so wasn’t sure what to expect). Beds really comfy. Had dinner at the New Crown and was great food for reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing. No reception on arrival. Had to go to a lock box to retrieve key. Premises open to street access. No reception. Anybody could walk into premises even at 8pm when I returned from dinner. Premises filthy. Access stairs and common area carpet worn, dirty and stained. Room I was allocated had no windows (which I thought was illegal) with no access to fresh air. Main bed was rock hard. Slept in the single bed as it seemed a little softer.

Great price for a nice room. Dated but not dreary. Odd open fixed gap in bathroom window made the bathroom cold overnight but not a major problem. Dinner was amazingly delicious... fresh cooked veggies, best cauli cheese I have ever had. Pork cutlets pretty good. Large serve. Nice safe atmosphere. Definitely will return when needing an interstate overnight stop.

Great to see a change of management, Dave is a people’s person, friendly and welcoming. We travel to Hay and continue on to other regional towns but will be returning to Highway Inn

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Highway Inn Motel, friendly staff and the room was spacious and clean. It was a great location, close to the cafes and eateries.
