Stayed the night here last minute for the F1. Great value for money. The owner let us check in early, and she was there still at midnight to help anyone after. She even offered my partner and I a beer and we sat and talked for an hour with her before heading to bed. She even let us check out the next day as late as we wanted.

Gasthof Platzschmied is situated in Guttaring, 34 km from Klagenfurt and 49 km from Turracher Hohe. The rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have a seating area where you can relax.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Located among hills on border of Styria and Carinthia, close to a town square, but rather quiet place. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice of meals, but in case of more people there is relatively smaller space around the bufet section. Downstairs is a very good restaurant with very tasty meals, recommended for dinners.
Everything. Food was amazing quality and at a good price. A full 3 course dinner with sides and with drinks included was 35 euro per person, the rooms are big and very comfortable. The staff was very nice and they even waited 20 extra minutes for us to arrive before closing the kitchen. Amazing value for the money and I can't wait to return. Bonus, it's 20 minutes by car from the RedBull ring, for motorsports fans (which I am).
