Amazing views! Definitely worth driving/ hiking up there and taking it all in with a very friendly staff and delicious food! While the parents are chilling on the terrace the kids can roam safely around and enjoy the playground.

Charming accommodation in the tiny hamlet of Weissbach bei Lofer. Owner and staff are extremely hospitable . Rooms are clean and simple with excellent WiFi throughout. Good breakfast with delicious traditional half board dinner for an additional 12 euros per person. The visitor card was much appreciated- allowing us free entry to the two gorges and cave complex just up the road. This also allows for free bus rides from Salzburg all the way to Zell um Zee and more.
The Gasthof is an excellent base for outdoor climbing, klettersteig on 4 close by climbs plus hiking and biking on nearby trails.
Excellent value for the money.

The guesthouse is in a remote hamlet with beautiful views. Sadly we were only there for a short time so we did not have time to explore the area but would love to come back. The owner was very welcoming and showed us her animals and barn and machinery. This place is perfect for people who enjoy nature and living off the land.

An absolutely wonderful family hotel located on top of a hill with fantastic views over mountains and valleys. The family and staff are absolutely wonderful and give guests the best welcome. The food is great, we chose half board and got a nice breakfast and three course dinner with view. I recommend this place to everyone and this will be a favorite hotell to return to. The Norén family
We had a great time, this just what you dream of in the Austrian Alps, quiet, cosy and friendly, with great service by the staff and excellent food. Originally we had planned to go out for dinner every night, but ended up staying eating deliciously in the hotel restaurant every single night. Highly recommended.
I rarely feel compelled to rate my stay unless it is exceptional and the Wachtelhof hotel is exactly that, exceptional. The hotel is beautifully done and the room is big and spacious. The staff is incredible and they go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food is delicious and we ended up having dinner everyday at the hotel despite having the intention to try some other restaurants in the areas. We were here to ski and the location couldn’t be more perfect. The only regret is not staying longer.
Perfect location, clean, nice room. Very helpy, kind staff.. Cousin is really exception. We had half board. The breakfast and the dinner were very delicious.
