Company information

After 4 weeks travel in Januari 2008, and twee weeks property search in March 2008, I bought Lemon 3 Lodge in August 2008. And in October 2008 I made the big move to South Africa. The first year was every day a new day in a country with 50 shades of black, gray and white. in the location (=township) I met mama Driena and her 4 year old foster child Samuel. Not knowing that 3 years later the care and guiding would be on my shoulders. Now 12 years later, I am proud of my 16 year old son, and a complete renovated and restyled guesthouse with 8 rooms. What makes Lemon 3 Lodge different: Come over and ask, "I do have a story to tell".

Neighbourhood information

From the pool area we look up to the Rietberg Mountains of the Addo Elephant National Park. The Sunday River Valley is the second largest citrus area in the world, so you can't miss the orange en LEMON trees (or three) Just around the lodge we have 3 hectare of land. I have decided 10 years ago to let it grow a natural way, No irrigation water, no fertilizers, no chemicals. So you will have an idee how this area would be without the hand of humankind.
