Welcome to your lovely sunny self-catering home away from home at the seaside, ideal for Holidaymakers & Business Guests alike, Families with children (note: our pool does not have a safety net or fence as yet), Couples & Friends, Professionals working remotely, Kite Surfers, Wind Surfers, Cyclists, Golfers, Birdwatchers and Folk wanting a seaside break away from the city! Fairhaven offers 2 bedrooms and exclusive full use of the house and all facilities for your stay, with a pool & patio/barbecue area and courtyard garden, located in Waves Edge. We can accommodate 4 Guests in the 2 bedrooms on offer, plus there is a single bed available for a 5th Guest.
I love living close to the ocean, walking along the beach early in the morning and enjoying the magnificent Cape sunsets. Life passions of mine include, music, the arts, travelling, interior decorating, gardening, collecting vintage clothes and furniture. (Especially from flea markets here in Cape Town or on my travels!) Having worked for many years in marketing, hospitality and at two iconic 5 star Hotels, I now enjoy welcoming and hosting Guests at my beachhouse, and telling them about all the wonders and delights in and around Cape Town.
Fairhaven is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Bloubergstrand, a short walk straight down the road (300m) from Kite Beach and Blouberg Beachfront Promenade, ideal for walking or running and enjoying the views. This idyllic seaside town offers easy access to a variety of attractions and activities in the area. You'll find of beachfront cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and shopping malls nearby, and the city centre & V&A Waterfront are just a 20 minute drive from the house. Blouberg is renowned for its beautiful beaches and spectaculars views of the iconic Table Mountain and Robben Island. A lovely way to end the day is to have sundowners at Doodles Beachfront with its breathtaking views of our beloved mountain, Table Bay and Robben Island, or On the Rocks, Eden on the Bay at Big Bay, or at The Blue Peter, all of them just a few kilometres down Beach Road. Nearby Melkbosstrand is a delightful suburb with a long stretch of beach, featuring the heritage restaurant, the Dam Huis, which also has live music and a 'beach play area' for children. You may enjoy attending the annual Red Bull King of the Air Kite Surfing competition, held at Kite Beach,, a walk or cycle through the West Coast National Park,, a 4×4 or quad bike adventure through the Atlantis Dunes, or a wine-tasting visit to fine wine estates, within half an hour away ... Durbanville Hills, Klein Roosboom, Meerendal, Groote Post, Hillcrest Wine and Olive Estate, or take a tour to some of the other world famous wine estates further afield in Constantia and Stellenbosch.,
