The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. City with ancient history and big power, Imperial city that went through the centuries and still exists and it sill develop and is one of the Major cities in Europe. I would say that it could be a culture shock for a person from Western or Eastern Europe who visits it for first time as the language is more different and the people too, but after a few days in the city you can start understand more and more and get used to the envidonment. On the third day I started to feel like I can live there, so it is not a bad place. I really like the food and if I knew the language I would've enjoyed more as I could've communicate more with the people.

Istanbul’s vibe is great: from the sellers of grilled chestnuts , to the sellers of Kebap / doner; the metro is great and big for those who love metro ( like me) . The people are great and respectable more smiling than angry and trying to help . Only 7/11 groceries ( small markets shops staff) appear sometimes less friendly and not willing to go above socializing and stick to selling the items !
But other shops owners are great human beings. We were helped in the Taksim street by a gentleman of Istanbul who answered our questions and called friends for us asking him about Market of vintage items which takes place each Sunday ( ferrycoy Pazarı) : great place to visit if u can … near metro Osman bey (take cab 900 meters for 100 TL).

I cannot describe in words how pretty this city is. It has so many things to show and it does not have an end that you feel like you missed 80% of the sightseeing because there is too much. There was the urge to move to Istanbul and live there…

Istanbul can feel a little overwhelming and chaotic at the beginning. It is a beautiful city.
One must be prepared that English is not widely spoken and single women can be targeted by Turkish men. Be prepared to be 'ripped off' at least once.
I did feel safe there on my own but it is not for the faint hearted. Having traveled extensively I found Istanbul to be a little tricky to navigate around due to the lack of English signs etc.
Do visit the Basilica Cistern as it is quite amazing as is Hagia Sophia. A Bosphorus boat trip is also worth while. (unfortunately while I was there it poured with rain for the whole week)
The Blue mosque is also worth a visit but Hagia Sophia and the Cistern is far superior in my opinion.

This is my second visit to this hotel. I feel like I am at home. It is extremely clean and all the employees are friendly without exception. I have visited many hotels in Istanbul and it is one of the top 10 hotels for me in Istanbul.
The wellness and spa center is wonderful and comfortable, and all its employees are from East Asia and professionals. They have an Italian restaurant on the last floor with a panoramic view of the Bosphorus Strait. I recommend visiting it.
Regards ,
Perfect location in downtown Istanbul close to many shops, excellent restaurants and historic buildings and squares like Galata tower, Pera Palace Hotel and Taksim square. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly particularly Majid, he helped us a lot always with a smile, even to change room because of noisy club next door.
1. Comfortable transfer from the airport to the hotel and back. The journey time is just under 10 minutes.
2. Excellent restaurant onsite, which is open until 00:00.
3. Rooms are clean and spacious.
4. Very friendly staff, comparable to 5 star hotels.
5. Would definitely recommend to other Istanbul transiters/visitors.
Fantastic rooms, best boutique hotel in Istanbul. Views to die for and breakfast of a 5 star level.
Staff are super friendly and always will help with anything at all. Would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you Ahmed and Doruk Palas for an amazing stay. Will remember for a long time.
The best stay at Istanbul, location, stuff, accommodation, great bed for sleeping, sound isolation, breakfast. We are lucky to have chosen that hotel, should be 5 star rated as the other sister hotel Mula, where we had a breakfast and drinking coffee at the terrace.
