The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.
If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.
Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for a vacation in Istanbul.

The city is full of contrasts and they are very interesting to observe. Each area has a different atmosphere and it's really worth visiting both sides of Bosphorus (as well as the beautiful islands of the Heybeliada and Buykada) to experience that. There are very conservative and poor areas with their authentic charm and wooden buildings, as well as very hip ones (e.g. Kadikoy feeling like Berlin), cosy Kuzguncuk, etc. I loved travelling with ferries - they are public transport and very cheap to use, prividing unique experience like nowhere else.
Things I didn't like - overpriced museums (e.g. Topkapi palace is 45 euros, Galata tower - 30 euros, Ana Sophia - 25 euros, etc). Huge differences in prices between places where locals eat (you can get a meal for 3 to 5 euros) to all the other places that are a bit more on the way of tourists (not just the main touristic spots). It seems that often times foreigners are given a different price than locals. For example, a glass of cay (tea) in ferries and local spots is very low (15 lira - around 0,40 euro cents, while both tea and turkish coffee can be sold for a a few euros at some places once they hear you're a foreigner.
Great travelling with all kinds of public transport (trams, funiculars, buses, metro), but avoid the taxis (they might not speak english and say a different price for a foreigner).

Istanbul was a busy and clean city with many sites to see.
Istanbul was a busy and clean city with many sites to see. Just Google what to see and you can’t go wrong. The people are very friendly and always trying to sell you rugs, politely once you decline they remain friendly. Most merchants speak excellent English. Walking around, even off the well travelled streets one never felt unsafe. All the markets were very interesting not just the Spice market and Grand Bazaar. Turkish people are proud people and I never felt any negative feelings towards other nationals.

The metro and tram system was very affordable and easy to use, so getting around caused few problems. Most sights are value for money, and most are extremely engaging. One or two things are quite overpriced, but people still seem to pour in. Good idea to check out a few eating places before you go otherwise everything looks the same. A day trip up the Bosphorus turned out to be better than expected. All in all we loved the experience of the city and the people, most were helpful and willing to please.

Fabulous historic city .skyline famous. people engaging, funny , tolerant, and helpful. Istanbul residents love their street dogs and cats, all well fed and cared for. The ferries and waterways and seagulls are wondrous Hilly walking, but everywhere interesting.
Hamza is the best!!!! He was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. He was very kind to help us book our night bus to Cappadocia, book our hamam (which is a great recommendation from him as well), and arrange for our taxi going to bus station.
Rooms are nice and clean too! Our favorite part is the high pressure hot shower and the location (located center and close to a lot of tourist attractions in Istanbul).
Will definitely come back and stay in this same hotel. 5/5 stars🌟
This property has almost everything one wants during travel. I stayed with my family for 04 nights. we were warmly welcomed and offered best hospitality possible. location is great. Just 02 minutes walk to Taksim Square. everything is nearby for daily life.
Hotel manager, Mehmet, is such a nice guy. He arranged a bosphorus cruise dinner trip and airport transfer at very good rate. He offered all kind of assistance wherever required. Highly recommend for stay.
Best hotel ever in Istanbul. Perfect location which near to Taksim Square, eateries, and public transport. Easy to go anywhere. Not hard to find the hotel. Clean hotel, good breakfast, spacious room and very comfortable. Nice and helpful staffs. Sure will stay here again if I come to Istanbul again. Totally satisfied 👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice breakfast, very nice hotel, all at superlative. It is indeed a true 5 stars hotel, very modern, clean and you can have a nice experience.
If you have an executive room you get access to the executive lounge where you can serve dinner for free.
It is the best location in Istanbul.
The Hotel is very close to Taksim square for metro to and from Istanbul AirPort.
The hotelentrance is directly of Istiklal street with its many shops and restaurants. Dont get confused as you have to walk in to a te/spice/turkish delight shop before you come in to the reseption.
