So many things to see, historical locations. Even if you don't enter museums, you can still walk through the city.
Be aware of the prices of some historical places such as the Topkapi Palace, which can be quite expensive. I highly recommend to search & book online since there are really long queue

Istanbul is a great holiday destination, there is a number of things to see and do. It is easy to get around by either using public transport which is inexpensive, or you can walk to most places. We thought the Hagia Sophia was not worth the 25 Euro entry fee as you are only allowed in the top section so if you are short it is a bit hard to see down below, but the Hagia Sophia Museum is a must do. Allow lots of time for the Blue Mosque as there is so much to read and the staff are so informative and will tell you everything you want to know. We flew to Cappadocia which if you have the time is a must do and Turkish Airlines were great to fly with. Lots of place to grab a bite to eat, the best however is the street food which was cheap and delicious. We also did the tour to Gallipoli which was absolutely worth every penny.

Istanbul is the hub of the world, where East meets West.
Istanbul is the hub of the world, where East meets West. It was fabulous for people-watching. We found it spotlessly clean, the locals were very friendly, and I would heartily recommend it to any travelers. We loved all the cats, but found the dogs to be a bit busy napping. The history is amazing and it will take me quite a while to read up on all that we saw. I went to the Hamman that has been open continuously since the late 1500's. We were not expecting all the hills, we got quite the workout and learned to use the public transport system to try and arrive uphill of our destination. Went went all over by public transit which was efficent and cheap. We split our stay between Beygoulu and Sultanmhet and I would recommend that as a strategy, Beygoulu had better food, but a lot of the sites where in Sultanmhet so it was definitely easier to stay there for a few days. We also went to the Prince's islands and stayed the night which I would definitely recommend. Leaving IST airport was a lot more painful than arriving, expect to spend endless time in endless lines.

We spent a lot of time visiting the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia Mosque. The sites were beautiful and had very friendly staff. We also visited the Bosphorus and the Bosphorus Bridge. Unfortunately the bridge was under renovations and was not lit up at night. There are many restaurants to eat good food at reasonable prices. We didn't use public transit but we did take a taxi from the airport to the hotel and the prices are reasonable.

Everything was perfect, our stay at the element garden was one of the best things in our trip , the location is awesome in a calm street few minutes walk from Taksim square , rooms very clean with the necessary equipment we even cooked there and could eat in the hotel’s garden , the staff were extremely nice and helpful especially Ella who was preparing very good breakfasts and was extremely nice , I recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Istanbul
Breakfast very diversified, suitable for all demands and cultures.
Hotel is very conveniently located close to almost all attractions of Istanbul: hundred meters walking to Hagia Sofia, Sultanahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Saray, Grand Bazaar, even to Taksim Square & Istiklal street (pedestrian shopping area) using the public transport net.
The hotel and the rooms were so clean , the staff were very friendly and helpful they even gave us an extra hour after the check out , I will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone I know it’s one of the best hotels I stayed in Istanbul even tho it’s not 5 stars better then some 5 stars I have stayed in here.
This stay was an emergency stay because of 1st May. Our main hotel was at Taksim square, the centre of Istanbul. Because of the 1st May celebrations the centre was closed so we were forced to search for a hotel close to the airport. Location is 20 minutes from airport.
The personnel was very helpful, they try their best to help, they even gave us an istanbulkart for our stay. The hotel is newly renovated and two minutes away from taksim square and it's generally busy and you don't feel unsafe generally.
