Nestled in the breathtaking East Carpathian Mountains, our high-quality cabins offer a unique retreat for individual travelers seeking slow tourism. Each cabin boasts a fantastic view of the valley and mountains, providing an immersive experience in village life where local traditions, including the use of horse-drawn carriages, are still vibrant, it's a gateway to an authentic village experience, where the owners (Swiss-Hungarian expat and local veterinarian), offer a perfect blend of international hospitality in an authentic village environment.

Kaliba Cabins is located in the outer reaches of the Eastern Carpathians in Borospataka/Valea Boros which is a settlement belonging to the village center of Gyimesközéplok/Lunca de Jos. Borospataka/Valea Boros is situated at an altitude of 930 meters above sea level, with nearby peaks reaching heights of 1,550 meters at Naskalat Peak and 1,329 m Apa-havas. Borospataka village is a settlement with just under 500 inhabitants in the Gyimes region (also called little Switzerland), the home of the csángó hungarians.
