Ever wanted to experience a geodesic dome? Less than 2 hrs from Auckland you can escape to this rustic glamping dome in a rural setting near the coast. Situated on top of a hill, there are amazing rural & sea views, thousands of stars in a clear sky, with outstanding sunrise and sunsets. The dome contains a gorgeous bedroom, lounging space, heater, & adjacent entranceway. Nearby is your own outdoor composting toilet and luxurious shower. Please note - this is discounted as it is still a WIP!
Do you like endless white sandy beaches that are often so quiet that you're the only one on the beach? Then our area is for you! Uretītī is 2mins drive or 25mins walk from the dome, with great swimming, surfing, dog walking and native bird watching. 13mins drive and you'll get to Waipu Cove, which is a long sandy beach with safe swimming, surfing and fishing. The little ones will love exploring the rock pools and secluded surrounding. The beachside cafe is an idyllic spot for breakfast, lunch, or an open-air dinner among the fairy lights. Other local attractions include a museum, art gallery and golf courses. Embark on a 1.5-hour walk around the Waipu Caves(opens in new window) where you will find stalactites, stalagmites and glow worms. Or explore the Waipu Coastal Walkway where you can get up close and personal with our stunning limestone rock formations called Pancake Rocks. Nearby are the beautiful Piroa Falls and Marsden Cove marina where you can take day trips by boat that include fishing, diving, and sightseeing.
