Situated in the quiet Kaiwhaiki Valley, this studio room is a comfortable place to stay affording easy access to Whanganui city and the beautiful Whanganui river.
The studio is pleasantly furnished, with bathroom and laundry attached. Tea and coffee making facilities are also available in the room.
We are Paul and Karen. Its our pleasure to host guests at out property.
We are both registered nurses, working in mental health and private home care.
in our spare time we enjoy time with friends and family, developing our gardens, food (growing and cooking) and cycling.
We have two dogs, two cats and two hens.
the studio at 394 Kaiwhaiki Rd is a great base from which to enjoy the many attractions of Whanganui and its surrounding districts.
Its a 20 minute drive to the Whanganui CBD. Whanganui has some great attractions including glass artists, Waimarie paddle steamer, great cafes, lovely gardens and picturesque walks.
We are five minutes drive to the beginning of the historic Whanganui River Rd. From here drive to the Matahiwi schoolhouse cafe, Jerusalem, Pipiriki and much more. Canoe or jet boat the river. A visit to the Bridge to Nowhere is a must.
Five minutes further along our road is "that place", Mountain Bike Tracks for all levels of skill and experience.
If skiing or hiking is your thing Tongararo National Park is an hours drive.
