Spreading for hundreds of miles from the mouth of the Oslofjord, Oslo is the largest city by area in Europe and is liberally covered in pristine forests rising up into the outlying hills. South of the unassuming city hall lies a vibrant waterfront known as Aker Brygge, which in summer is full of bustling outdoor restaurants and bars.
For the prettiest buildings head to affluent inner-city suburbs of Frogner and Fagerborg, or admire the traditional Scandinavian wooden houses of Bygdøy and Holmenkollen. Monumental buildings include the Royal Palace which runs daily tours and the Akershus Festning, which is a medieval castle that also served as a military base and provides impressive views of the Oslofjord. Oslo City Hall, or rådhus, offers even more distinctive architecture and it is the location of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
Nature is never far away in Oslo which is ringed by an archipelago of islands which are extremely popular in summer. Hiking, kayaking and sailing are all easily achievable within the city limits. Just as popular are the many museums. The national Museum houses Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream and Viking Ship Museum containing long-lost relics from Norway’s Viking past.
From downtown Sentrum to the Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the stunning statues in Frogner Park, Booking.com has over 80 hotels and other accommodations available.

Oslo is hands down the most boring capital city I’ve been to. The city is almost totally closed on Sundays and mostly closed on Mondays. Didn’t manage to get in to any of the main museums and the palace was closed.
Coffee shops and restaurants are mostly chains and very average. Everything is super expensive!

Overall, it is a wonderful city to visit.
Overall, it is a wonderful city to visit. It is very safe, and the food is delicious.
However, the cost of living here is quite high. Additionally, the city is not particularly large, so a visit of two to three days is usually sufficient.

It was an amazing city with a modern architecture, I really enjoyed walking in the Dronning Eufemias gate and visit the Operahus. Amazing parks and green areas in the city, you can never forget about them. The city itself is clean and you feel safe. Driving in city center is a bit confusing for the firts time but people are nice and helpful.

The city is beautiful, clean, safe, quiet and surrounded with nature everywhere (parks, green areas etc.). The public transport is usually punctual, I would suggest affording the Oslo pass( as you get free public transport and excess to 30 museum with it.

Location of hotel was vey nice and peaceful with quick easy tram link to the city centre, the hotel was extremely clean and very stylish and had a boutique feel to it, the breakfast and dinner was of excellent quality and choice thoroughly enjoyed it all and you could have as much as you liked. All the staff were very warm, kind friendly and helpful. The room although a little dated was comfortable and clean as was the bed.
According to the price it was worth it and very well and nice. I wasn't expecting to be this clean and nice cosy bedrooms. The funny thing is the beds were comfier than the ones in 5 star hotels.😂
