A 10-minute walk from Akihabara Electric Town, Tokyo Ueno Youth Hostel open 2021 after renewal offers simple private rooms with an en suite bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and luggage storage is available. Yushima Subway Station is a 1-minute walk and JR Okachimachi Train Station is a 5-minute walk away. Rooms feature air conditioning/heating facilities, carpeted floors, a desk and bunk beds. The private bathroom comes with a toilet and shower. Amenities including towels and toothbrush are available, and bed-making services are not offered. A coin-launderette is on site. The shared lounge has a flat-screen TV. The free-use kitchen comes with a fridge, microwave and electric kettle. Youth Hostel Tokyo Ueno is a 15-minute walk from JR Ueno Train Station and Ueno Park. Ameyoko Shopping Street is a 10-minute walk away and Narita Airport is a 40-minute ride on the Keisei Skyliner from Keisei Ueno Station. Haneda Airport is a 45-minute train ride away.

Directions to the hostel:
From Keisei-Ueno Train Station, take the Main exit. Turn right and walk along Chuo Street bound for Akihabara (not for JR Ueno station) for about 400 metres. At the end of the side-walk, you will find a cafe named "Veloce" on the other side of the street as a landmark. Turn right and go straight for about 100 metres. The property is located opposite Ueno First City Hotel.
From the South Exit of JR Okachimachi Train Station, turn left and walk along the railway bound for Akihabara (not for JR Ueno Station) for about 50 metres. Turn right at the Golf Shop and walk about 100 metres. Cross the street at the intersection of Chuo Street in the same direction. Walk about another 100 metres.
From Yushima Subway Station (Chiyoda Subway Line), go out from Exit 6 and follow the path to your right. Turn right at the first intersection.
Take Keisei Skyliner Train, which offers non-stop service to Keisei Ueno Train Station in about 40 minutes.
Alternatively you can take non-express trains to Keisei Ueno Train Station. Guests can also get off the train at Nippori Station, and transfer to the JR Yamanote Line to Okachimachi Station. JR Okachimachi Station is situated closer to the Hotel.
You can also take JR Narita Express if you have a JR Rail Pass.
Take Monorail to Hamamatsu-cho Station and change to JR Yamanote Line to Okachimachi station.
Take JR Yamanote Line to Okachimachi Station. (6 min.)
