Set in Kyoto, 600 metres from Kyoto International Manga Museum and 1.4 km from the centre, Mitsuki Kyoto offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. This 2-star ryokan offers full-day security and luggage storage space. The accommodation provides a concierge service and a housekeeping service for guests. The units in the ryokan are equipped with a kettle. There is a private bathroom with bidet in every unit, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the ryokan, the units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The ryokan serves a vegetarian and vegan breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. A bar can be found on-site. This 19th-century townhouse, a former long-established Kyoto cuisine restaurant, is turned a small intimate hideaway with old-world charm. Mitsuki Kyoto is a traditional japanese inn with only two ensuite private rooms in sukiya style made by kyoto craft men with their delicate sensibilities for nature materials. All the rooms are decorated with carefully selected japanese artworks and seasonal flower. It will be great experience to sleep on comfortable Futon mattress on fresh tatami floor and wake up in soft morning sunlights coming through “shoji”, paper sliding door,. There is a Tsuboniwa garden in the premise where you can find features of four seasons of japan. Kyoto Mitsuki is situated in the heart of Kyoto city and is just a short walk to the Kyoto Imperial Palace and the park where you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in spring and momiji red leaves turns beautiful red in autumn. There are only 4 stops by tube from Kyoto Station to the nearest tube station.
It is within easy reach of many touristic places like Gion district and Golden/Silver Pavilion temples by bus or tube. Also Nijoh Castle registered in UNESCO world heritage is in walkable distance. Also, in the imperial palace south area where Mitsuki is located, you would not see crowds of tourists. You would instead meet modest and friendly Kyoto locals and find attractive independent stores, cafes and restaurants.
