Boasting great views of the city and ocean, Hakodateyama Guest House offers basic accommodation in a historic Japanese-style building, decorated with antique items. Free WiFi and free parking are offered. It is located a 10-minute walk from Yachigashira tram stop, which is a 12-minute ride away from JR Hakodate Station. Yachigashira hot spring bath is a 10-minute walk away, and Mount Hakodate’s observatory can be reached within a 10-minute drive. The property features a fully-equipped kitchen, and complimentary coffee and tea are offered. Coin-operated laundry machines are available on site. Dryers are available. Rooms are simply furnished, and most rooms are fitted with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding. Some rooms come with Western beds. Bathroom and toilet are shared with other guests. No meals are offered at the property.

Once you get off at the Yachigashira Stop, walk 4 minutes south to the opposite side of the tram line along the road and take the 4th turn on the left. Walk about 2 minutes and take the 2nd turn on the right. Walk uphill and you will see the shrine. Turn to the left right in front of the shrine and you will see the guesthouse on the corner.
