Very convenient especially for cruise passengers. Just steps from the ship. Very chic hotel, bright, colorful and rooms were extra large. Staff was very accommodating in storing our luggage, charging my Fitbit and providing recommendations for the area. Very nice breakfast, quite fulfilling. Beautiful bar/lounge although we did not get to use it. Be sure to bring a European-style adapter plug for your stay.

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

If you like pasta & pizza? Napels is Heaven.

Before you go, you should understand what kind of city it is and what makes it special. It has history, an unusual culture, incredible architecture. You may not like some things (dampness in the rooms, roads, narrow streets) if you don't know where you are going. But it is a stunning historical city that has preserved the culture and charm of the Middle Ages.

I got the impression that driving is rough and many areas look unsafe, on the other hand, there are many good restaurants and many child-friendly people.
The roads are bad, so push chairs are not suitable.

Great city with lot of places to see within short drives.
Great city with lot of places to see within short drives. Could be a central location when visiting Pompeii, Amalfi , Sorrento…
Be careful with taxis. Negotiate the fare or make sure to pay by meter. Don’t recommend Freenow App. For a 2.5 km ride from hotel to ferry terminal they first charged me 10.80 euros and then slammed me with 24 euros as final bill. The taxi meter read 8 euros. They are scammers!

We spent 6 days in Naples.
We spent 6 days in Naples. The weather was great, so we took long walks all around the city and got the most of it. ( Places not to be missed out: Museum of Archeology, Chiaia metro/art station, catacombs, quartieri spagnioli/Maradona mural, Via Toledo, Via dei Tribunali, Garibaldi galleria, Monastery of Santa Chiara, Castel dell Ovo...)
2 days we left just for Pompeii and Ercolano, a must see while there!

Naples is a whirling chaotic world of noise and tooting and ENDLESS numbers of scooters. People live close to each other and are loud. But there is such a great friendly Vibe. It’s much more casual and relaxed, if more noisy, than the Northern cities. The Spanish Quarter is particularly “cosy” with very narrow alleys with restaurants out on the street and scooters speeding by with seemingly no thought for pedestrians. but we never once saw any sign of an accident. They might behave like there are no rules to the road but they are actually quite skilled at doing what they want and avoiding others. Though at times a scooter flying past me just a few centimetres from my body was terrifying. We had heard it was dirty. But I’d say not much more than anywhere else in Italy. It’s a bit like Times Square on steroids but not just in one spot, but everywhere throughout the city.

The room was easy enough to find, look for a small blue sign on the gate post outside where they will meet you on arrival. A short walk to lots of great restaurants and bars, along with amazing shopping.
The breakfast in Italy consists of croissant and coffee - so don’t be expecting anything savoury. This hotel uses a local bar 200 meters away which you take a token to for complimentary coffee and croissant. Tip - just sit down outside they will serve you - show them the voucher when you arrive.
I really liked this hotel. The restaurant and outside terrace were lovely with amazing views across Naples Bay. Breakfast was excellent and I ate dinner on 2 nights and that was excellent too. The staff were helpful and very friendly especially Angelo on reception who arranged a taxi collection from Afrigola station. Having stayed in various hotels in Italy this was much better than most in this price range. I will look forward to returning.
Very friendly staff at the hotel. Great breakfast for being in Italy. The location of the hotel could not be any better, you are in middle of everything plus you have walking distance to both the Metro and Ferries if you want to visit other places during your visit. They also give you free water bottles everyday in your minibar which is very pleasant in the heat. Free coffee almost the entire day aswell.
Overall a very good stay! 😀
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The pool areas were great and kept clean. A lovely view of Naples and the Volcano. A good base for our last couple of nights in Italy but the location was not ideal and there was no where to eat outside of the hotel but the lovely receptionist did order take out Pizza for us one night which we enjoyed sitting around the pool area.
A lovely old fashioned hotel at very good prices, very rare in Italy these days. Very hospitable, very quiet, away from the bustle of central Naples but a short trip on the train nearby
