The guesthouse is located IN the town Siglufjörður, the northernmost town of the Troll Peninsula. , this modern guest house is 16 km from Ólafsfjördur. It features scenic fjord views, a furnished terrace and summer BBQ facilities. The Herring House offers individually decorated rooms with a wardrobe and access to shared bathroom facilities. All rooms have access to a shared kitchenette. The one-bedroom cottages feature a private bathroom, kitchen, and an outdoor shower. Perfect place to wash your day off in our hot tub and outdoor shower and enjoy the fresh Icelandic mountain air. We are only a few minutes walk from the town´s center and main attractions. Siglufjörður is well located on top of the Troll Peninsula, the northernmost town in Iceland. There are endless walking, hiking and biking trails in the mountains, with spectacular views over the peninsula. We are also very proud of our new golf course and our popular ski area; Skarðsdalur, where you can find the longest slope in Iceland. The Troll Peninsula is also very popular for ski-touring - here you can ski from the top of the mountain all the way down to the beach. In town we have the international awarded "Herring Era Museum", Frida´s Chocolate Café, Barber´s Bar, Segull, a local brewery, fish shop with delicious "Fish & Chips", indoor and outdoor swimming pools, restaurants and bars. You can also enjoy kayaking or angle fishing in the sea, in a lake close by and in the towns creak. What a great place.
