Our house was once the home of my Great-Grandparents, my Grandparents and my Mother, as well as being the business location of my flower shop up until recent years. Although it has been completely transformed and renovated, it holds many great memories for our family and I hope that it may provide our guests with many happy memories of their visit to Ennistymon. During your stay, you have complete access to the house where you will find many home comforts. The back yard is a beautiful hideaway, especially when the sun shines! PLEASE NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT: As the house is over 250 years old, the stairs are space saver stairs and are very steep so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, difficulty with steep stairs or small children, please see photos of stairs in the gallery. There is one bathroom located on the ground floor and the bedrooms are not en suite. PARTIES ARE NOT PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Since consideration for families & couples is a priority, please note that it is not an appropriate option for Stag or Hen party groups to make a booking. If you are a Hen or Stag party, or a group of people who intend to party, please do not try to book, as you will be refused at reception and payment will not be refunded.
As the house is located in the center of our small town, everything is on your doorstep. There are 2 big supermarkets within walking distance from the house. On Saturday morning there is a farmers market in the square/church street, just around the corner from the house. Ennistymon has a lot of fantastic cafes/restaurants along the main streets, next door to our house you will find "Oh La La", a French creperie, which I highly recommend especially for breakfast. Other highly recommended eateries in Ennistymon include The milk step, The cheese press (Locally produced cheese, salads, coffee), The Aloe Tree (Health food shop with seating area for coffees and gluten-free treats), Unglerts Bakery, Byrnes Restaurant, Pot Duggans, Foodies Corner, Teach Bia, ........plenty of choice! The local pubs are also well worth a visit, try Cooley House and Pot Duggans for live music at the weekends. The Courthouse Art Gallery is located across the street from the house and is well worth a visit too. And, Don't forget to take a walk along the river from the Cascades and into the glen, it's beautiful!
