I paid for what I thought and what I was told a double room price but when I arrived we we given a small room,I said I booked a double room and I was told that's another 40 euros if I was told initially I would have to pay that kind of money in a sub standard guest house I would not have gone so I think I am entitled to 40 euros refund

A quirky small apartment in a brilliant village, on the edge of the Shannon estuary. The nearby Long Dock restaurant is outstanding (must book) and I saw Dolphins near the harbour (the one by the castle). The hosts are friendly and helpful with lovely dogs.

What can I say about our host Nuala, she welcome us into home which was beautiful, clean and warm. The room and ensuite were very clean and a lovely size. Breafast was wonderful even though it was continental there was a lot of choices and her brown bread was to died for. What we both really like was the fact that there was no TV in the room which is a rarity in today world and also no tea or coffee maker in room, you only had to go to dining room any time of the day to make it and have some home baked buns. While we were there Nuala was very helpful in giving information on where to go and the best way of getting there without being intrusive. We totally enjoy our two nights there and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, home from home comfort. Michael and I hope to returned to this b&b in the not to distant future and wish Nuala every success with her b&b.

Gorgeous beaches loved that you could walk along the cliffs safely and easily for a 1.5 mile walk each direction right from town. Town looks a bit in disrepair at times. Our accommodation was great with wonderful service including the restaurant below it. Parking was easy.

The beach is gorgeous, as are the cliff walks and views.
The beach is gorgeous, as are the cliff walks and views. Restaurants were fine.
Unfortunately we couldn't find any postcards, couldn't rent any bicycles (nearest bike hire was miles away), and the 'tourist office ' was not only shut down but in a very sad state of disrepair.
Also, no one seemed to know where Charlotte Bronte honeymooned!! We found it easily though (there's a plaque).

Beautiful cafes, pubs and dinning establishments on the street to taste, Kilkee is simply beautiful, easy to get around, signage excellent, clean and welcoming, people are warm and friendly, lovely community
Moineir House is a really lovely B & B that we wish we had more than the one night at. While the room was a tad small, the bed is probably one of the most comfortable we have slept in during our entire trip in Ireland. Breakfast was also superb so all in all a very good place to stay.
The Pods and facilities were so clean and well kept. Well done to the hosts who were so welcoming but also let you enjoy your peace. The local knowledge they shared made it a perfect trip to Clare and I can't wait to stay and explore dome more
Thanks again for a wonderful stay
