In this Victorian country manor, romantically located in 180 acres of private woodland, you can enjoy 4-star quality accommodations on the shores of Lough Corrib. Complimentary full Irish breakfast and afternoon tea is included. Afternoon tea is served from 16:30 until 18:00. Built by the present owner’s ancestors in 1842, it is still run more like a private country house than as a hotel. A delight. My idea of the perfect small hotel of charm. Brilliant food, a lovely setting, and a warm welcome by owner Henry.

This was one of the best, if not the best hotel experience of the last 5-10 years. Large and extremely cozy rooms, very attentive room service, fantastic breakfast and dinner, great location, and above all the friendliness and warmth of the host...

Currarevagh House us one of those unexpected surprises that leaves you smiling long after you've checked out. Family run for generations - and now lovingly tended to by the heir Henry and his chef extraordinaire wife Lucy, no detail is left...

  • Hi I am wondering are young children welcome at your property? Our daughter will be 18months. Thank you

Hi Many thanks for getting in touch. I'm afraid Currarevagh is not suitable for children under 10 years old due to our small size. If I can help further please do get in touch. Best Regards, Henry Hodgson

Currarevagh is the longest running property in Ireland: my great, great grandfather first took guests into the house in 1880. It is a Victorian House that has been through many changes over the years, and so has a lived in feel. I always like to emphasis to guests that we are not a hotel, rather we run Currarevagh as a private country house, so if you are looking for the usual hotel features etc then this is not for you! However if you want a genuinely unique experience full of character then you will love it. Henry
