THE SKOPELOS SUNSET HOUSE Entire traditional house on Skopelos island, 53 m2, with breathtaking sea views, 2 floors, balcony, and yard. Fully equipped. In an idyllic mountain village with cobblestone streets and houses built in the traditional style. 10 minute drive to amazing beaches. Skopelos is densely forested, with azure beaches, well marked walking paths, special cheese pies and delicious marzipan sweets.
I am Canadian born and raised and have lived very very happily in Greece for the past 30 years. I love to read (the house is full of books you will see), to take long walks (the walking paths are amazing on the island), to kayak (there is some limited kayaking available on the island) and to swim. This house in Skopelos is very special to me. It is where my son (now 25 years old) spent the best summers of his life roaming freely about (the way kids should be able to) in a village where I knew he would be safe. I look forward to sharing this experience with other parents and children. The house is also "dangerously" romantic. At least three couples (friends of ours) spent such romantic times there that shortly thereafter each and every one of them decided to marry. You can contact me by cell phone at any time.
Paleo Klima, on the island of Skopelos, is a traditional mountain village with narrow cobblestone streets, spectacular views, houses with ceramic tile roofs. Although there are no shops, grocery delivery is available. Cars are frowned upon in the village, except for loading and unloading. A 5-10 minute, slightly downhill walk, from the main road to the house. Rental cars are available for access to the entire island. You can park on the main road or in the parking lot of the village. A regular bus service takes you from the ports of Glossa, or Skopelos town, to the village of Paleo Klima and to all of the villages and most of the beaches and sites on the island. If you are a backpacker, you can walk to the village from the port of Glossa in half an hour on a steeply uphill path. There is easy access to walking trails from the house.
