We are two uniquely designed, beautifully curated places to stay just outside of York. With us you can gather with the ones you love, nourish yourself with good food and restore your well- being with thoughtful experiences. Welcome to your breathing space, somewhere to feel at home & fall in love with Yorkshire.
We all need an escape where we can truly switch off. TOFY (which stands for Thinking of You and The Old Forge York) has been created by former mental health nurse, Karen, who is passionate about nourishing and restoring peoples' well-being. Karen has used her mental health knowledge, to create unique spaces, deliver you the most delicious local tastes and experiences, giving you the opportunity to play, giggle, get creative & restore yourself back to being you again. By giving you nurturing stays, tastes and experiences- all delivered on-site; you have the freedom to slow down & relax. We absolutely adore dogs! Welcoming two in each cottage with bottomless clean dog towels, blankets for snuggles, treats, bowls for water & food. We are for special occasions and making memories. A place for you to reconnect with loved ones, for when you need a break from adulting, for children who love messy outdoor play & the solo traveller who want to reset on their own.
Sand Hutton is an idyllic countryside retreat. Just twenty minutes from the centre of York, you have all the main tourist attractions, places to eat, out of town shopping centres on your doorstep and a peaceful retreat to escape to at the end of a busy day. On-site we have a little Yorkshire deli for our guests. Open 24/7 with dairy, bakery items, dine at home meals and luxury local produce. Walks from your doorstep will give you the opportunity to spot owls, deer and hare. A short drive takes you into the Howardian Hills and Yorkshire Wolds where you can experience breath-taking landscapes and the grandeur of the historic Castle Howard.
