On the Isle of Skye’s spectacular north west coast, The Tables Guest House in Dunvegan offers stylishly appointed rooms and a full breakfast menu. In an elevated position enjoying beautiful loch views, The Tables provides free parking and Wi-Fi. Each first-floor room has a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities, and all have an en-suite or private shower room. Guests also have use of a shared seating area in the reception, which includes a Nespresso coffee machine, tea making facilities and a Tassimo machine for hot chocolate. The conservatory has views of the loch. A cooked breakfast is offered. Lighter breakfast options are available along with porridge, muesli and cereals. Vegetarian breakfasts are also available. With Dunvegan Castle around 1 mile away, The Tables Guest House is 35 minutes' drive from the Isle of Skye’s largest town, Portree. Please plan your trip carefully looking at the places you intend to visit, as previous guests have commented that a 2-night stay is simply not enough to time to see all the beautiful areas on the island in a relaxing manner and we often can’t accommodate an extra nights stay.

Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.6 for a two-person trip.

Neighbourhood information

The village of Dunvegan sits at the head of Loch Dunvegan which stretches in from the The Little Minch, the body of water separating the Isle of Skye from the outer hebrides. To the North of the village is Dunvegan Castle, which is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland. The seat of MacLeod of MacLeod, chief of the Clan MacLeod has been there for over 800 years, and is just a 5-minute drive from the Tables. For a further 5 minute scenic drive you will reach the Coral Beach at Claigan with its combination of accessibility and white sand make it a very attractive option on a warm sunny day. The Talisker distillery is within a 20 mile 30 minute drive from The Tables Guest House. Dunvegan is now the main focal point for North West Skye with a few shops, post office, petrol station and places to eat and stay. The whole of Skye is easily accessable from The Tables Guest House and Dunvegan, with Sleat, Armadale and Tokavaig to the South. Elgol, Glenbrittle and Carbost to the South-West. Portree and Staffin to the east and Uig to the North.
