  • Hi , attending an event in Kelso, are there any public transport links or could you suggest a taxi company Thanks Jim

Hi, the bus stop is opposite The Burrow. The number 81 bus will get you to Kelso. Bus times - 7:25, 8:25, 9:35, 15:05. There is also Hownam Taxi who can be found on yell dot com. Booking doesn't let me share links unfortunately. Hope this helps.

  • Hello - have seen your lovely cottage and the description states that it has free private parking. Is this off road parking just outside the front door ? Thanks.

Yes that's right, you can park right outside the front door/front window on the large pavement area. You can also park on the road if you prefer. It is free to park throughout the village.

  • Hi there, bringing our two well behaved and friendly dogs. Are they allowed to be left in the property for a few hours whilst we go out? Many thanks

Long as they are well behaved then we do not have an issue with leaving your dog in the property for a few hours. Please make sure dogs remain downstairs.

A quiet, cosy bolthole and comfortable base to explore the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. Nestled away in the beautiful conservation village of Morebattle, The Burrow is well equipped, one bedroom, one bathroom mid terrace home full of history and character. Suitable for two guests, plus two dogs. Situated in a peaceful, rural village location, The Burrow benefits from being next-door to the community village shop and garden, as well as a minute's walk to the local butchers and a short stroll to the village pub/restaurant.
The Burrow is well situated to access and explore the Scottish Borders, North Northumberland and the Northumberland coast. The historic village of Morebattle dates back to at least the Iron Age, and set in remote upland countryside 8 miles north-east of Jedburgh, 6 miles south-east of Kelso and 3½ miles south-west of Town Yetholm. Whilst situated rurally, the village contains a community shop and garden, butchers and restaurant all within a short walking distance of The Burrow. A local petrol station can be found in Town Yetholm and an excellent pub/restaurant in Kirk Yetholm. 10 minutes to Kelso | 15 minutes to Jedburgh | 35 minutes to Galashiels | 50 minutes to Lindisfarne | 1 hour to Alnwick, Bamburgh and the Northumberland Coast | 1 hour 15 minutes to Edinburgh
