Mindo - La Maga is a 6 hectare farm with two cabins and a heritage house. The property is surrounded by a native forest, where you can observe birds and mammals. In Mindo La Maga you can refresh yourself in the Canchupí River. In addition, it is only 10 minutes away from the town center of Mindo.
Magdalena Garzón and Julio Goetschel were the owners of La Hacienda la Maga. The heir to the house and six hectares was Ana María Goetschel. Together with her we decided to restore the heritage house to keep the history of Mindo alive, this house is 90 years old and is a sample of the vernacular architecture of the Andean Choco. We also built two cabins with local bamboo and planted a native forest of cedars, paches and laurels in collaboration with students from Mindo.
Our farm has trails, a lake, a river and an ideal environment for bird and mammal watching. Our property also has playgrounds and parking. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy nature and fresh air, our property is perfect for you. Our property is located on the edge of Mindo, the most beautiful town in Ecuador, and very close to many tourist attractions. You can visit butterfly farms, observe and admire waterfalls, walk along the Mindo River and explore the Andean Chocó.
