View from our room over the Limmat was amazing! We ran back to the room right before a storm and watched lightning over the altstadt for 2+ hours. So fantastic. Location of the hotel was perfect, just a walk across the bridge from the train station. The room had clever suitcase holders built into the wall (should be a staple at all hotels).

We had a family room at Boutique Hotel Wellenberg and it was very big compared to other hotel rooms that we have booked in Europe. The location is fantastic, (right in the heart of old town) and we loved that we could walk everywhere. The staff was exceptional - from the front desk to the woman who runs the breakfast, (I'm sorry I did not get any names). This was the last stop on our European vacation and the only place that had AC. Would definitely recommend!

Zurich is a stunning city, they have a beautiful train station with every possible shop needed.
The Old Town Zurich is lovely with lots to do, eatries etc.
The modern part of Zurich very stylish with lots of high end shops.
The Lake is always never far away.
We went on to have a week in Geneva....definitely feel Zurich has much more to offer and a more up market feel to it.
Lots places to eat...high end & casual. Switzerland is a very expensive holiday destination which travellers need to take into account.

I never get tired of wandering the streets in the old town, crossing over the river on beautiful bridges, admiring the swans, admiring the alps in the distance, taking the trams around the city. The Landesmuseum is BONKERS. So many precious metals and gems worked into beautiful artifacts. Highly recommend Zurich if you like nice things.

Beautiful city with good transport link , friendly people , I enjoyed my short swim at the lake so refreshing. Good place to go with your partner lot of walking together.
Be preferred to spend money on food a bit dear, but go and see inside their coop groceries they lot and lots of ready made fresh fish and salads that you can take away. I love this grocery shop. Can do more cleaning in the centre but outside the city it is refreshing and clean.
Welcoming immigration officer on our arrival but on leaving we had to face this very unhappy rude young but old looking male immigration officer on our way to the flight gate.

Unlike other cities in Switzerland (Basel, Geneva, Bern and Lucerne), Zurich does not offer free local transport for paid accommodation. This was surprising to me. The city is clean, tidy and has very good public transport. It has many good museums, parks. The old town was very crowded in the summer, with lots of tourists flowing through the streets.
Walking distance from the main train station, which is the hub for travel. You can travel from there to any place in Zurich as well as Switzerland. Also walking distance from a large supermarket and many bars and restaurants. The no 10 tram stops right in front of the hotel and this is the tram you can take from the airport. Very convenient. This tram also also take you to the main train station. The staff is very very friendly and helpful and are doing a great job.

Breakfast was one of the best we had on our road trip.
We had one of the top floor rooms with superb views of the laje.

Superb, as always. Very conveniently located, just opposite the Central Station, with friendly and efficient staff, comfortable and scrupulously clean rooms, a cosy bar and an excellent breakfast. While not cheap, I consider it the hotel in Zürich with the best price/quality relationship.
Location is perfect , you can walk around the city center, old town , you do not need the train , hotel is in the middle of everyting. Close to the main train station , easy to reach the airport.
