I truly have nothing but good things to say about this hostel and the host Margarida. The place is super lovely, welcoming, clean, and spacious. Lots of equipment for example in the kitchen, nice location with mountain view. And Margarida is super nice, helpful and just a very decent person who even helped me when I got sick and needed medicine.

Set in Guarda, within 400 metres of Guarda Castle and 600 metres of Guarda Cathedral, HI Guarda - Pousada de Juventude offers accommodation with a shared lounge and as well as free private parking for... For a budged hostel, the place is very well equipped, very clean, and spacious. The rooms are comfortable and (at least off season) not crowded, guests are spread evenly into the dorms. Bedding and towels are clean, there are plenty of blankets. The breakfast is exceptional with plenty of choices, to point out the most unique: cake, fresh fruits, yogurt, good coffee. The staff are very nice, friendly, and welcoming. There is ample and quiet public space to work.

Pousada de Juventude da Serra da Estrela is inserted in the scenic area of Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The unit is just 10 km from the nearest ski resort. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. They upgraded me for free to a double room with own bathroom. The room was very cozy. Highly recommended if you want to go for some hikes.

Situated in Covilhã and with Parque Natural Serra da Estrela reachable within 18 km, Covilhã Hostel features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. good value for money, definitely the cheapest option on offer when I visited. it’s a family run building, and Joao was kind enough to pick me up at the bus station with his car! it’s conveniently located, you can walk everywhere, nice view of the city from my room, a big kitchen to cook meals and decent bathroom. Cozy room with lots of natural lights, mattress is not the best but the towels were the softest :)
