29 Madeira Hostel set in the centre of Funchal, Madeira Island. The property offers budget accommodation in dormitories and private rooms. The property is located walking distance from the center and its bustle but on a street that gets busy in the morning (can be a little noisy for sleeping in late). It was clean, comfortable, beautiful and everything you could ask for at a reasonable price.

Located within a traditional and historical building in Funchal old town, Santa Maria Hostel is a boutique hostel featuring a vintage-style décor. Staff were great, location was central, beautiful building! It is right on Rua Santa Maria with lots of restaurants so there is noise, but it's a hum of talking / music so not too difficult to sleep through
