Yerupaja Mountain Hostel er staðsett í Huaraz og er í innan við 200 metra fjarlægð frá Estadio Rosas Pampa. The lovely couple who run this hostel took very good care of me and every other visitors. Besides the regular tours around Huaraz they even managed to arrange something very specific for me to meet my expectations. They rented me a termo flask without any charge for my expedition tours. Also I could leave my luggage for free during my climbing tours and they let me have a shower on my last day in the afternoon. It was just nice to come home and have a chat with one of the two and talk about upcoming plans or anything. I can definitely recommend that hostel. It's clean, well located close to the plaza and it's very good value. Would always go back when I'm in Huaraz again! :)

We looved our stay in Huaraz at Ivan’s hostel, in the end we stayed 7 nights. It has perfect location super close to everything. Comfy beds and great shower with hot water, and every day cleaning :). Part of hostel is as well travel agency with all the trips you want to do in Huaraz :) (day hikes but as well multiple days) so we did a lot of trips as well. Ivan was helpfull with everything so we can only recommend! we would stay again for sure :)

We are really happy we booked this place and for a very decent price you really get a great experience. First, we were able to check-in very early in the morning when we arrived with the night bus from Lima - around 06:00 am. Thank you for that! We really, really needed the break. Second, we were able to check-out a lot later for 50 soles for both so we could rest until the night bus back to Lima. They were really helpful in booking us a taxi for one of our day trips and the owner took us in his car from the hostel to the bus station when we were leaving since there were no available cabs. The room is small but it's great to relax after crazy days of travel and hiking. We had a really clean private bathroom with probably the best running hot water in our entire Peru trip. The bed was really comfortable. There is a small breakfast included in the price. I wrote to the hosts before traveling and they were very responsive and helped me get in contact with an agency to discuss some hiking opportunities. The week we were there they just opened a bar with some nice activities going on so it's a great place to meet fellow travelers and grab something to drink. We recommend this place very highly!

Beds are clean and comfy, and the staff was so helpful for finding hikes and places to explore. They offer tours as well!

Tony's House Eco Hostel er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og veitingastað í Huaraz. Farfuglaheimilið er 2,6 km frá Estadio Rosas Pampa og býður upp á bar og grillaðstöðu. Coming back to Tony's House after trekking Santa Cruz and then again after the Huayhuash felt like we were coming home. Carla is the kindest, most helpful and hardworking women, and an incredible chef! The hostel and garden is beautiful and a great place to meet like minded people and play with Carla's dogs! We thought the distance from the center of Huaraz was definitely a positive.

Erik and his family were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They made you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrived. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the property is on a quiet street. Breakfast is provided in the family kitchen and we had access to cooking facilities and the fridge. We went on an 8-day Huayuash trek with Erik and the whole experience was spectacular. Erik is a very able and knowledgeable guide. He is eager to share his understanding of the mountains, Peruvian history and politics and the rich culture of the country. The food he provides is delicious and his equipment and organizational skills are excellent.

Montañero Hostel II býður upp á gistirými í Huaraz. Meðal aðstöðu á gististaðnum er sameiginlegt eldhús og sameiginleg setustofa ásamt ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. We (backpacker couple) spent one week in Montañero ll. The staff is friendly and always ready to help you and solve any question. The room was spacious and comfortable. Big beds, clean sheets, toilet paper, towels included and warm shower. Breakfast included is from Monday to Saturday and it’s varied.

Tupac Huaraz er staðsett í Huaraz, 1,4 km frá Estadio Rosas Pampa og býður upp á gistirými með garði, einkabílastæði, sameiginlegri setustofu og verönd. Everything was clean and new, nothing felt grotty and dirty like some hostels. Room was spacious and comfortable and outside space was very relaxing. Staff were friendly and accommodated our vegan diet for breakfast.

Montañero Hostel er staðsett í Huaraz á Ancash-svæðinu, 2 km frá Estadio Rosas Pampa og státar af bar. Gistirýmið er með sameiginlegt eldhús og sameiginlega setustofu fyrir gesti. The most important thing: flexible check in time. We arrived from Lima by night bus, the owner let us check in at 7am as there was available room. She gave us very detailed explanations of all the places we wanted to visit. The terrace kitchen was well-equipped with a nice view of the surrounding snow mountains. On the day we returned from the Santa Cruz Trail, we had to take the night bus to leave. The owner let us take a shower and finish packing in our friend’s room without any extra charge!
