The hostel is beautiful and surprisingly warm for winter, considering there was no heating. The rooms were spacious and clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, creating a warm and positive atmosphere. Despite a few changes we needed to make to our booking due to disrupted travel, the staff assisted us without any issues. Breakfast was delicious, and there was a 24-hour tea station available. Overall, great value for money, and I would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay with Romulo and Helga (and their cute pets). When we arrived from a night bus, they welcomed us straight into the kitchen and made us a delicious (complimentary) breakfast. So kind. Our room wasn’t quite ready but they allowed us to shower and rest in another room until it was - this was much before the check in time so we were really grateful for this too. The house is a little out of town but we really liked that about it. It seems far in a taxi (only 10-15 soles though) but walking the Inca trail only takes about 15-20 minutes. The house is right next to Inca ruins and Romulo took us on a walk to show us the main sights, he also gave us so much information about the local area. Helga and Romulo make a great breakfast and they put a hot water bottle in our bed every evening. Also, my laptop broke whilst I was there and they got me in touch with someone to fix it. They are wonderful hosts and we would more than happily stay here again.
