Tours readily available, common kitchen is simple but has everything you need. Breakfast changes every 3days so that's great. No bunk beds in the dorms which is a plus cause who wants to climb after a day of hiking. Very hot showers as well. Good location from the square

Sheller was was very nice and helpful. He rented us very affordable gear and his English is excellent. He even helped us plan our trips. The hostal has a beautiful overlook of the city. Cheap rooms too.

Located in Huaraz and with Estadio Rosas Pampa reachable within 1.9 km, El Amauta de los Andes Lodging Erik House provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi and a restaurant.... Erik and his family were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They made you feel like part of their family from the moment you arrived. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the property is on a quiet street. Breakfast is provided in the family kitchen and we had access to cooking facilities and the fridge. We went on an 8-day Huayuash trek with Erik and the whole experience was spectacular. Erik is a very able and knowledgeable guide. He is eager to share his understanding of the mountains, Peruvian history and politics and the rich culture of the country. The food he provides is delicious and his equipment and organizational skills are excellent.

Situated in Huaraz, 1.4 km from Estadio Rosas Pampa, Tupac Huaraz features accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Everything was perfect, it was one of best hostels I've ever been to. It's localised very close to the city center, the beds are very big and comfortables. The bathroom in the room is spacious and tidy and shared kitchen is also big. I was welcomed with coca tea as I wasnt feeling very well when I arrived. And the Lady from the reception was an ANGEL - I had problem with my flight check-in and she spend over an hour to try to help me with that, looking in the internet and asking other hostels. In the end it worked and she saved me a looot of stress. Thank you once more! :)

Incredibile esperienza qua nell' Andes Hostal. Mi sono sentito come a casa. Questa è l'atmosfera che si respira qua nell' Andes Hostal, di una vera e propria famiglia. Ronal e Yudit, i proprietari, sono persone speciali dal cuore grande, sempre disponibili per qualsiasi cosa, pronti ad aiutarti per i vari trekking, scalate e non solo. Ti accolgono come uno della famiglia, così che tu possa godere al meglio del tuo soggiorno a Huaraz, tutt'ora non so come ringraziarli per l'aiuto che mi hanno dato. L'ostello è tutto quello che si può volere quando si cerca una sistemazione : comodo, pulito, economico, con doccia bollente, una cucina ben fornita, wifi potente che prende in tutte le camere, café e thè disponibili tutto il giorno, una super colazione, per non parlare della vicinanza al mercato centrale, raggiungibile in soli 10 minuti a piedi, e del centro con 15 minuti. Inoltre nell' ostello, grazie alla sua agenzia, è possibile prenotare tutti i vari tour ad un super prezzo dalle lagune, a Huayhuash, a Santa Cruz ecc... Senza dover andare a cercarli per la città. Inoltre per chi volesse qualcosa di più è possibile organizzare tutte le ascensioni alle montagne come Vallunaraju, Pisco, Chopicalqui.... Sempre tramite l'agenzia dell' ostello. Insomma per me è stato uno dei migliori posti che ho incontrato in tutto il mio viaggio, e lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia trascorrere del tempo qua a Huaraz. Ritornerò sicuramente. Grazie mille di tutto.

It's so quiet and peaceful. A beautiful space. The staff are wonderful and one of them speaks English well. There's a garden with a friendly dog, chickens, budgies and guinea pigs.
