The private room with personal bathroom was exceptional! You can leave your things and have peace of mind that everything is safe. There’s daily housekeeping and the staff are always cleaning so the hostel felt very comfortable to come back and relax at after a long day’s hike or long multi-day trek. The owners are so kind and accommodating - I arrived early AM after 2 days on the plane and an overnight bus, and they let me come in to use the bathroom and refresh, store my luggage until check-in, and have breakfast! They also have laundry service and it comes back smelling so clean. They’re allowing me to store my extra luggage while I do the Santa Cruz trek. They also let guests, who checked out but are waiting for an overnight bus out of Huaraz, stick around at the hostel until their bus departure. Location is slightly out of main square but it’s quieter and Huaraz is small so nothing is ever too far. Highly recommend!!

Yerupaja Mountain Hostel er staðsett í Huaraz og er í innan við 200 metra fjarlægð frá Estadio Rosas Pampa. Very convenient location, helpful staff -- very friendly atmosphere. Staff helped with travel arrangements and direction around town. Markets close by and excellent food from street vendors.

We where able to check straight in at 7am when we arrived off an overnight bus! and on the day we where leaving we had a 10pm night bus and we where allowed to have the room up to 3pm with no hesitation or extra charge!! We also planned hikes through the owners.

Don’t book anywhere else! The room was great, clean and spacious. Erik our host was absolutely incredible; he picked us up from the bus station and was always available to answer questions about hikes (as he is a guide). He showed us around the city, took us to the mirador and we even did laguna 69 with him and his family. And when our bus to Lima was canceled, he truly saved us by arranging a colectivo and giving directions on how to get to Lima before our flight. A simple breakfast was provided most days and when we left too early we asked for some bread the night before to take with us. The shower was decent, hot with good pressure except for one day. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the center. Overall, for the price and the incredible hospitality of Erik, it’s one of the best places we have stayed.

We loved our stay here in Tony's house. The atmosphere is amazing and Carla the owner is an angle. She helped us with booking the agency for the Santa Cruz Trek or the bus for our following journey.
