Mike, the owner, is an excellent chef. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and dinner. He speaks many languages so communication was easy. We learned a lot from him about the area. TORIO is a very small rural location in a lush tropical setting with very friendly people. Nearby is Playa TORIO which has good swimming.

The atmosphere was very welcoming, bed was comfortable, the pool is definitely a plus, the personal was very nice. Especially Leo who helped me a lot during my stay. Would definitely come back!

Everything was great, the location was downtown, but basically on the beach! The whole area was nice with plenty of hammocks to chill on and the staff was friendly and super helpful. Definitely one of our best hostels on our trip and would definitely stay again!
I spent 4 nights at the hostel rollo and It was the best hostel I stayed in Panama! The family is incredible nice and helpful. The vibe is just positive. Santa Cathalina is an amazing place for surfing and relaxing! Highly recommend.
Overall, probably the best hostel we stayed in Panama. The position is conveniently placed right next to the beach, the facilities were super clean, and the price was unbeatable! Extra points for the stuff. We left some medicine in the fridge and Orlando somehow was able to organize a friend to go to Panama Town so we could get it before our flight - we will always be grateful for what you did thanks a lot!!!
The best hostel in Santa Catalina if you want to connect with other travellers, Pablo and Rasta Man are amazing hosts and make everyone feel right at home. Close to everything on the main strip
The location and set up of the hostel was amazing. It was small with only a handful of rooms -which made me feel safe and the communal areas were never crowded. The views were amazing. To get to the beach, you simply had to walk down the hill. The hostel had surfboards you could rent for the day which was so much fun. The outside areas were clean and vibrant with lots of fun hammocks to hang out in. There was also a communal kitchen with lots of food available left by other travelers.
Best Hostel in Panama. The location is in the city center, Supermarket, frutteria and ATM next to the Hostel. Stuff is very friendly! The owner is a very nice and helpful person. For me this was the best hostel on my panama trip!
I loved my stay here, definitely the best hostel in Santa Catalina. The best place to meet cool people, nice social area and kitchen, big dorm, fairly clean, aircon at night. I extended my stay multiple times. This hostel definitely made my trip to Santa Catalina. Thanks Villa Vento :)
the Black Lion inn knows exactly what it is: a budget highway stopover on the way to/from Boquete. With this in mind it is great! Clean and spacious rooms. friendly staff. Place to do some work/eat. Working AC. there was a backery and mini market near by that offered all we needed. The little huts outside the hotel were a great location to eat surrounded by flowers and protected from the rain. All one can ask for!
Typical hostel for young backpackers, so typical challenges. You eat breakfast, which was buttermilk pancakes with half banana and a slice of melon or papaya depending on the day, in the lovely outside area with hammocks and lounges and happy dogs and after you wash your dishes. The only thing, it was unhygienic
