Boasting a garden, shared lounge and views of sea, Raglan Backpackers is situated in Raglan, 2.8 km from Ngarunui Beach. It was superb! The staff were amazing and sympathetic, making me feel right at home. The surfboard rental with wetsuit was top-notch, and having access to a car was incredibly convenient. The jacuzzi was a perfect way to relax after a day of surfing. I loved my stay and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend!

Very nice hostel right in the small and cute Hahei town, walking distance to the stunning Hahei beach, and great to start from to hike to Cathedral Cove (just 40 min). Very nice wooden room with super comfortable bed and bed linen, clean shared bathroom, spacious and welcoming shared kitchen and living room. Very convenient parking right in front of the room. Possibility to do laundry but you’ll need NDZ cash. The staff is really nice and helpful too. I loved the birds in the morning! Will stay here again next time!

Located in Waitomo Caves, 2.2 km from Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, JunoHall Backpackers provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a tennis court. Beautiful environment, useful facilities, … and most importantly: cleanliness. This was the cleanest hostel we’ve stayed at (we’ve been to many around the N island). Best spice of the place: Dave, his unique sense of humor and his lovely dog :)

Backpackers Central Hamilton offers accommodation in the centre of Hamilton, less than 5 minutes' walk from local shops, restaurants and cafes. Free WiFi and free lockers are provided. Safe - key cards for room and doors. Clean - kitchen was clean, utensils were clean (could do with a drying rack though. Toilets are clean as well! Comfortable - beds are comfortable. On the double bunk bed, it wasn’t too high so doesn’t feel too high and unstable. Free parking as well! Location close to city centre as well! Park nearby for you to go on walks as well! Walkable to the closest Pak n Save as well!

Haka House Taupō is a vibrant hostel in central Taupō, located just moments away from the breathtaking Lake Taupō! The place is amazing, so comfortable, the room that I got was very nice

Based by the Lake is a 18+ hostel offering accommodation centrally located in Taupo, just minutes from the lake. Location was close to the lake, the food, the supermarket, everything. Amenities (kitchen and laundry) were clean and well thought out. Enjoyed the girls only dorm with the extra perk of a private balcony.
