Set in park-like grounds on the shores of Lake Te Anau, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers has both mountain and lake views from the majority of the rooms. The room was adorable, so clean and furnishings were delightful. Heating was perfect, even a heated towel rail.

I stayed at 1 of the cabins. The room was comfy, had a heater and electric blanket for a cold night. Close to the toilets, and showers. The kitchen was well equiped and everything was tidy and clean. Labels for naming your food was provided. The lounge área was small but very useful and cozy. The was a bonfire for evenings on the yard. Nice touch!

I love the location of the property, the fact I was able to have access to all the comfort that was needed to make myself comfortable, and it had its own bathroom and kitchenet was very helpful especially after a very long drive

Barnyard Backpackers Te Anau offers accommodation on spacious grounds with spectacular mountain views. Free WiFi and private on site parking is available. We loved our little cabin with the views it offered.

The accommodation we stayed in was basic but had everything we needed.Everywhere was spotlessly clean.The staff are very polite and helpful.There is a large kitchen for guests use but we booked dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and it was excellent.
