Queenstown
The property is only a short walk from many bars and restaurants in Queenstown. We have a variety of budget accommodation options including king-single and queen pods, plus a few private rooms for couples. Guests have access to shared bathroom facilities, with multiple facilities located on each floor. Everywhere was clean and the pods were comfortable. The kitchen and lounge area was very pleasant. Most notable for me was the help Alberto and Holly gave me in two crises: (1) each pod has a dedicated locker for which you provide your own padlock. My cheap combination padlock wouldn't open, despite a lot of jiggling. Alberto opened it with pliers in seconds! (2) I asked if I could leave my car in the car park for a couple of hours when I was leaving.. when I returned, it wouldn't start. Holly gave me a jump-start - encouraging me to continue after I'd convinced myself it wasn't working - which saved me a lot of hassle! So thanks both of you :)
Wanaka

The best hostel I've ever stayed! :) I'm a solo traveler and stayed in different hostels in different countries all around the world. This one I could range as exceeded my expectations! It is located in the city centre, near the beautiful Wakatipu lake, so all attractions, shops, restaurants & bars are reachable in a few minutes. I stayed in a dormain room and shared it with other 3 guests, the most nicest thing was that the room was large with shelves and hangers to put your own stuff and we had our own shower room. Fantastic! Very large kitchen/dinning room with a spectacular view to the lake, just a good vibe to drink your coffee and enjoy the view. The staff were very kind and helpful.
The hostel suggests many services including tours, usage of washing/drying machines and etc. Highly recommended!
Wanaka

Forgot our towels but they were only $2 to hire and staff we really friendly! 100% would stay here again as great value for money, great location and quiet considering we were right in the centre.

Staff was very friendly. Nice and tidy kitchen, common room and bathrooms. The room itself was also very comfortable. Not very soundproof but didn’t bother me. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet location, safe, secure, warm, comfortable, great location & views. Had everything worth a visit.
It was a pleasant stay and Jjen (not sure of spelling) was very helpful and kind. The first night came with a rough morning because of all the people going in and out of the door right by my head very early in the morning (fresh powder!) Not the hostels fault I know, but hard to sleep. But Jjen switched me to a room further down and it was loads better. The kitchen was very busy most of the time so I didn't cook there. But it was clean in the morning. It was a great location and nice staff.
I loved the room it was very elegant and was like stepping inside of a 5 start resort the heat pump.was already turned on so the room was nice and warm. The hotel is in a great location just a short walk from all the bars, restaurants and activities. I felt safe and secure at all times it was also the amount of parking spaces they had was amazing. The staff were so friendly and we even managed to get a room upgrade.
Perfect budget accommodation, probably on the upper edge of what you would normally get for hostel style accommodation. The free coffee, and the water/ice machines on each floor is a bonus. Exactly the accommodation we where chasing in a great location
Cheap hostel. Curtains on your bunk bed in a 6 bed dorm room. Close to city centre. Close to gondola and harbour. A common room with big sofa's, 3 small kitchen, reasonably clean. Friendly staff. Small closet with space under beds to store your bags. You need to bring your own padlock. Clean bedlinnen. Cleaning is done every day by the girls working at the reception. Electronic door keys. Close by to sky field and other attractions.
I loved staying at Oamaru Backpackers. My room was very cozy and comfy, the kitchen and the living room were so nice and bright with everything you need to cook and to relax. Very nice view. So far one of the best hostel I've been to since I'm in NZ last year. Sadly I only stayed one night.
Great location and views. Well run and organised hostel and felt fairly safe. Handy to supermarket and a zillion eateries. Great to have option of ensuite room. Staff were helpful.
great location comfy beds and it feels more private with the curtain. spacious room good size bathroom within the room which was very clean and tidy. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.
It's in a great location with a nice bar and restaurant. There's a common living room area and kitchen. The room has a sink and heater. I booked a hostel room, which was significantly cheaper than a hotel room. It was ok for the price, but there are things that could have been better.
