Alte Metzg - Hostel is set in Appenzell, 19 km from Olma Messen St. Gallen and 25 km from Säntis. We had a wonderful stay at Alte Metzg. This place is so clean and well kept. Our person of contact was very informative and responsive. We had everything we needed and then some!

Featuring a garden, restaurant and views of mountain, Haus Bünten is located in Quinten, 49 km from Einsiedeln Abbey. I don't know if I was on a hiking high, or if this was the best hostel I've stayed in, but either way, I can't recommend it enough! The location is easily accessible from the ferry port, facilities are very clean with fresh bedding and towels ready on the bed. Picking up the keys from the security box was quick and simple. The shower pressure is great and there is a clothesline outside to dry your stuff (if you are coming back sweaty from a hike!). I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Offering panoramic views, Schwendihaus is located in Amden above Lake Walensee, 300 metres from the Mattstock Chair Lift. Free WiFi access is available. Awesome location and staff. Unfortunately wasn't able to stay for the entire duration due to my son's sudden fever, but indeed it was a pleasant stay. Would definitely like to stay again

This youth hostel is just a 7-minute walk from the shore of Lake Constance, the harbour, and Romanshorn Train Station. It features a restaurant and offers free WiFi in public areas. Within walking distance of the seepark!

Newly renovated in 2014, Youth Hostel Stein am Rhein offers dormitory and private rooms, a 15-minute walk from St. George's Abbey and the Medieval Old Town. SIDE by SIDE with a Rhein River beach. Proximity 10min walk to the city center - outstanding square. 20 min by foot, ir 5-10 by bus to the train station Bug garden, logos of games - ping-pong, football, volleyball, ... Good meals. Generosity of the staff. Good experience watching the euro24 final on lounge.

Youth Hostel Rapperswil-Jona offers dormitory and private rooms with a balcony and view of the garden, 850 metres from the Blumenau Train Station. What to write here to explain how wonderful time we had here... I have to start first with Michelle and Chris, two best persons we ever encountered behind the reception and managing a hostel. It started all with our 2,5h delay or arrival due to the unplanned Gotthard tunnel closing. We were stuck in a traffic jam and arrived around 19:30h instead of 17h. They were so kind and organized our dinner even in that time (initially planned for 18:30h), so when we arrived after our long trip from Italy it was nice and warm and delicious. During our stay there, they have been all the time super friendly, helpful and professional. This place is lucky to have them and without them it would never be the same. Our family room was nice and cosy with the great view of the lake and green fields and mountains around. Birds were waking us in the morning and it felt so great to be so close to nature. Very clean room and the whole place was clean in general. Our kids also had a great time with free activities there (play room, table tennis, table soccer). We are already looking and making plans to come back in the near future. It is not possible to give a higher review than 10/10 so we give only 10 here. I propose booking.com to make some possibility to give option for 'the best ever' mark/sign which can be used once per year or something and only on an exceptional case because this place is definitely exceptional.

The castle-like Youth Hostel Schaffhausen is a 20-minute walk from the Munot and Old Town. Lovely old house surrounded by gorgeous big trees and green space. Very friendly staff, and convenient parking!

Situated amid a large park right on the banks of Lake Constance, this historic villa is just a 10-minute walk away from the Kreuzlingen Hafen Train Station. Amazing location and view, amazing staff - one of a kind place

This youth hostel is just a 15-minute walk from St. Gallen’s Old Town and 100 metres from the Birnbäumen Train Station. It enjoys a green hillside location overlooking the city. The Youth Hostel St. The staff was very supportive. They actually provided me a good service as well as additional information about the area around.
