Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.

長濱元浜町宿場 片原楽家 está en Nagahama, a 14 km de Castillo Hikone y a 8,9 km de Estación de Maibara. Ofrece alojamiento con terraza, bar y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Great accomodation in a peaceful village. Very comfortable stay, you have all you need in there, the location is perfect and Hide-san and the rest of the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. It was such a great time to stay there in Nagahama.

El Biwa-Lakeside Cottage B B Dylan se encuentra en Minami-komatsu, a 24 km del templo Sanzen-in, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, estacionamiento privado gratuito, salón compartido y terraza. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We had a great one-night stay and plan to visit again.
