The manager’s hospitality was on another level, sharing fruits and helping me with a lost item. Highly recommend.

Mari-san, the manager, was very generous and helpful and friendly. As there were no meals provided at Hostel John Mang, she was enthusiastic to drive us to a wonderful restaurant that had great food. She made us feel very welcome like old friends, even though we had just met! The owner of this hostel also owns Nazuna Inn, just down the road that does offer meals.

The room was spotless and comfortable. The host was kind and welcoming, always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations!

Located in Aki and with Kōchi Station reachable within 39 km, Hostel 東風ノ家（Kochi-no-ya） provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Azumi, the owner of Kochi-no-ya presented our 2 familes a great comfort where we could stay safe in the first trip to Kochi prefecture. Even during the Japanese high season, she was kind and considerate enough to help reserve the bus transport and nice local restaurant that serves oishii tataki and draft beer:) She didn't even hesitate to introduce nice local people and farmers and other valued informations. We already started dreaming to come back to this beautiful Aki city again to make a friendship with such a nice and sincere people who truly have their affection and pride in their home town and their lovely nature. I like that is was kind of japanese style, it doesn't look like an hotel, it's look like a house so is warmer environment. Also, they give me discount coupons for eating that cover my food expenses during the 3 days I was there
